While indoor cycling is best known for its cardio workout, calorie burn, and challege, it is the hardest ride to master. It lends a much needed balance to your training program. A recovery ride increases circulation throughout the body and flushes out excess lactic acid.

While participating in a group based indoor cycle class, remember that you always have the option of tailoring any ride to your desired intensity. Even if the other riders are doing intervals, you can still treat your body to some well deserved rest at a self-directed pace.
