An Indoor Cycle Program - Heart Rate Zones

A key component of an indoor cycling program is understanding and incorporating your heart rate while involved in a ride. It is important to train in ALL of the heart rate zones as each zone has particular benefits mentally and physically.

Once you have determined your particular maximum heart rate and identified your zones, you are on your way to efficient workouts and training. Next, understanding and knowing your individual target heart rate zones is key to an efficient workout or training session. Group lead rides by a trained instructor will provide you with mental and physical queues to guide you through a particular ride and/or zones within a ride. Components of a good ride will also include proper cadence and having fun.
